1. Sukacitanya dimaklumkan bahawa Jabatan Kemajuan Islam
Malaysia (JAKIM) telah menjalankan pemantauan terhadap 34 buah
hotel yang menawarkan sajian “Bufet Ramadan” bermula pada 1
hingga 10 Ramadan 1431 Hijriah di beberapa buah negeri di
Malaysia. Kesemua pemeriksaan dan serbuan tersebut telah
dilaksanakan di sekitar Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Selangor dan Kedah.
Hotel-hotel tersebut meliputi hotel 5 bintang, 4 bintang dan 3 bintang
ke bawah.
2. Dalam pemeriksaan tersebut, sebanyak 2 buah hotel telah
memperolehi sijil halal Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri (JAIN).
Penemuan turut mendapati sebanyak 34 buah hotel telah
menggunakan istilah Buffet Ramadhan dan 24 buah hotel didapati
menggunakan bahan yang diragui halal.
3. Tujuan pemantauan ini diadakan adalah untuk memastikan premis
berkenaan menyediakan makanan halal yang mematuhi hukum
syarak. Di samping itu juga, ia bertujuan untuk meningkatkan
kesedaran pihak berkenaan terhadap tanggungjawab dalam
penyediaan makanan halal kepada pengguna Islam.
4. Hasil pemantauan tersebut, didapati 70 peratus daripada
keseluruhan premis berkenaan tidak memenuhi keperluan piawaian
Pensijilan Halal Malaysia. Promosi buffet Ramadan yang ditawarkan
adalah jelas tidak menepati Perintah Perihal Dagangan (Penggunaan
Perbahasaan ‘Halal’) 1975.
5. Antara hasil penemuan ialah penggunaan bahan mentah yang
berasaskan alkohol, bahan ramuan yang diragui, bahan mentah yang
tiada pengesahan halal, ayam daripada sumber yang tidak jelas dan
percampuran di antara bahan mentah halal dengan tidak halal di
kawasan penerimaan (loading bay) dan stor penyimpanan.
6. Walau bagaimanapun, kesemua pihak premis memberikan
kerjasama dan maklumbalas yang baik di sepanjang proses
pemantauan ini dijalankan. Pihak premis juga menyatakan minat dan
kesediaan untuk memohon Sijil Pengesahan Halal Malaysia daripada
JAKIM dan Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri (JAIN)
7. JAKIM akan terus melaksanakan pemantauan dan penguatkuasaan
bersama KPDNKK kepada hotel-hotel ini pada setiap hari sepanjang
Ramadhan. Oleh yang demikian, semua pihak hotel diingatkan agar
tidak menyalahguna terma Buffet Ramadhan yang boleh memberi
kekeliruan kepada pengguna yang mengunjungi hotel bagi berbuka
puasa. Sebagaimana yang kita ketahui, penggunaan istilah Buffet
Ramadhan merupakan perbahasaan halal dan ianya boleh diambil
tindakan sekiranya terdapat penyalahgunaan.
8. Sementara itu, sepanjang 10 Ramadhan pertama ini, JAKIM telah
menerima sebanyak 16 permohonan daripada hotel-hotel seluruh
Malaysia. Daripada jumlah hotel tersebut, sebanyak 9 hotel telah
memperlengkap dokumen dan sedang diproses dan sebanyak 7
hotel masih belum melengkapkan dokumen mereka. Manakala
sebanyak 2 hotel telah diberikan sijil halal dalam tempoh 10
Ramadhan ini. Hotel-hotel tersebut adalah JB Central, Johor dan
Pearl International, Selangor.
9. Suka JAKIM mengingatkan kepada pemohon yang memohon secara
on-line agar segera menghantar dokumen sokongan mereka bagi
mengelakkan permohonan mereka ditolak secara automatik oleh
sistem e-halal sekiranya melebihi 5 hari permohonan.
10. Seterusnya, JAKIM ingin memaklumkan bahawa mana-mana
permohonan (produk/ premis/ rumah sembelih/ logistik) boleh
mengemukakan permohonan kepada JAKIM / JAIN.
11. JAKIM juga amat menghargai kerjasama pihak Jabatan Agama Islam
Negeri (JAIN) yang telah mewar-warkan senarai hotel yang telah
diberikan pensijilan halal oleh pihak berkuasa negeri kepada pihak
media untuk makluman orang ramai.
12. Sehubungan dengan itu, JAKIM menasihatkan pengguna Islam
supaya berhati-hati memilih makanan halal dan mengelakkan
daripada perkara yang was-was seperti sabda Nabi Muhammad
SAW yang bermaksud:
“Yang halal itu sudah jelas dan yang haram juga sudah jelas, di
antara kedua-duanya ada beberapa perkara yang belum jelas
hukumnya (syubhat)”.

13. Untuk maklumat lanjut berkenaan pensijilan halal JAKIM serta
senarai pemegang sijil halal Malaysia yang dikeluarkan oleh JAKIM,
orang ramai bolehlah melayari laman web halal JAKIM di
www.halal.gov.my.
14. Atas jasa baik pihak media dalam mewar-warkan perkara ini kepada
para pengusaha hotel di Malaysia khususnya dan masyarakat
Malaysia amnya amatlah diharapkan dan didahului dengan ucapan
terima kasih.

Adult students attending Friday 9.15pm class, please be informed that this class will be shifted to Thursday effective 24 June 2010. This class will be continued until end of July, after which there will be no more Stage 2 class for adult this year.. and most probably DLS will cease from offering public language courses for Adults. Stage 1 for Adults on Wednesday will be continued until end of July 2010. This shall be the last public Adult class offered by DLS. Effective 2011, DLS will only offer in-house language programs and private language classes. Any inconvenience is duly regretted.

I’m writing this article to share my disappointment over people who do not have enough talent to come out with their own proposal of doing something, but will steal from people who gave all their effort into what is required. I spent sleepless nights writing proposals as required by these pretenders who never have the intention at all of awarding you with the project, but their intention of stealing ideas is so overwhelming, that they will pretend to invite you into projects which they have so little ideas of how to go about. But their ideas to steal is great!! Assuming these people plan to go to hell, congratulations because they may qualify to enter, and they have no fear to receive ‘duit haram’ and they have no fear to feed their family with it, and one fine day…. they will see the consequences from God Almighty… when it’s too late.. Na’uzubillah..

I spent 1 whole week to write proposal for 1 public listed company in KL, and then another 2 weeks for another public listed company in KL. Not to mention my travel expenses from Langkawi to Kuala Lumpur several times. This is a common remark of a thief : “Oh Yes, this is exactly what we are looking for!” “We would like you to expand on this proposal into a more comprehensive details, and please present it to us once again”

And once you have presented with greater details, another remark of a thief : “Excellent! we are grateful to know your capacity in this field and will plan accordingly based on this proposal”

The next few days, you will hear all sorts of ‘dramas’ played by these thieves, “Oh.. they decided to postpone this project because they have other priorities right now” So, why the hell did they ask us to write? Oh yes.. of course because they are stupid to write but clever to steal.. I should have known that!!

Congratulations to those thieves from Kuala Lumpur, those thieves who keep on searching fruits from others’ efforts, those thieves who crawl up people like filthy leeches.. I really thought I have managed to cut off these type of monsters from my life, but I was obviously wrong. They come in many forms, and it is quite difficult to identify them because they will have the sweetest tooth. If you don’t write, you don’t get the project, but if you write, you may get the project, or someone else may get the project from your effort. Someone within the company of your client may try to cut you off as greed has already been flowing in their blood.. perhaps ever since they were born..
